Taiwan analog IC firms expected to post gross margin growth in 2016

With many second- and third-tier players phasing out their analog IC businesses, and international firms switching their focus to other products instead of analog ICs, major Taiwan-based analog IC firms including Richtek Technology, Advanced Analog Technology and Global Mixed-mode Technology (GMT) are expected to benefit from less competition in the market and manage to generate gross margin increases in 2016 thanks to new product roll-outs, according to industry sources.
