Supply of high-efficiency solar cells, PV modules falling short of demand, says Trina Solar chairman

While global supply of crystalline silicon solar cells and PV modules is in excess of global demand currently, only half of global production capacities for solar cells and PV modules are set to produce high-efficiency models and therefore global supply of high-efficiency solar cells and PV modules is falling short of global demand, according to chairman & CEO Jifan Gao for China-based PV module maker Trina Solar at the Boao Forum for Asia 2016 conference taking place in Boao, southern China, during March 22-25.
