Semiconductor-grade silicon wafer maker GlobalWafers has set aside a capital expenditure budget of NT$2 billion (US$60.6 million) for expanding annual production capacity for 8-inch wafers by 10-15% and 12-inch wafers by 6.4% in 2016, the company said at a March 30 investors conference.
