Notebook ODM Inventec on December 29 announced the acquisition of a factory/office building located in Taoyuan City, northern Taiwan, at NT$6.060 billion (US$184.5 million) from smartphone vendor HTC, with the building to house R&D headquarters for its business-use PC business group.
