Taiwan-based Macronix International, a manufacturer of flash and mask ROM memory chips mainly for consumer electronics applications, saw its net losses improve to NT$691 million (US$21.6 million) in the second quarter of 2016 from losses of NT$891 million in the prior quarter. EPS for the most recent quarter stayed negative at NT$0.19.
