Motherboard makers expected to see 10% sequential drops in 2Q16 shipments

With demand for motherboards remaining weak and Intel has deferred the launch of its next-generation platform, Kaby Lake, to the third quarter, most motherboard players are expected to see their shipments in the second quarter decrease about 10% on quarter, while second-tier players will see worse drops, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
