There were 1.297 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China as of the end of May 2016, increasing 0.14% on month and 0.33% on year, and 237.98 million (18.35%) were 3G users, 584.58 million (45.09%) were 4G users and 1.028 billion (79.26%) were mobile Internet-access users, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
