Taiwan draws up 2017-2025 national digital development plan

The Taiwan government has drawn up a plan for national digital development during 2017-2025, dubbed DIGI+, with goals of attaining a digital economy valued at NT$6.5 trillion (US$205 billion) (29.9% of GDP), digital daily-life service coverage for 80% of the population, and coverage of 90% of the population with fixed-line broadband Internet-access download speed of 2Gbps in 2025, according to the Executive Yuan.
