Under the Japan government's program of promoting application of information and communication technologies to next-generation ITS (intelligent transportation system), Panasonic is responsible for developing V2P (vehicle to pedestrian) technology to prevent pedestrians from being hit by vehicles, the company's technology director disclosed at an International Conference on Connected Car & Intelligent Transportation System at National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology in Taiwan on November 25.
