Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) on January 27 approved an investment proposed by Netherlands-based NHPEA Chrome Holding B.V. to acquire a majority stake in China Network Systems (CNS), the largest MSO (multi-system cable TV operator) in Taiwan, from MBK Partners HK Ltd., a Hong Kong-based private equity firm, on condition the buyer fulfills 20 stipulations, according to NCC.
