Taiwan, China solar cell makers interested in HIT, say Taiwan makers

As SolarCity, a US-based PV system installation service provider, will acquire a US-based HIT (heterojunction with intrinsic thin layer) solar cell and PV module maker, some Taiwan- and China-based crystalline silicon solar cell makers have become interested in developing and producing HIT solar cells, according to industry sources.
