Taiwan-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Epistar on June 30 announced that it will issue 174.612 million new shares to acquire a 100% stake in fellow maker Formosa Epitaxy through a stock swap of one Epistar share for 3.448 Formosa Epitaxy shares, with the swap to be finished by December 30, 2014.
