MediaTek has forecast revenues for the first quarter of 2018 will decline up to 20% sequentially, as smartphone demand in China continues to disappoint. A seasonal slowdown in IoT chip demand is another cause dragging down the Taiwan-based IC design house's revenues during the quarter.
