If the IT industry has not quite entered the era of virtual reality (VR), most key players at Computex Taipei 2016 are trying to expedite the process. Major technology launches on the first day of Asia's largest tradeshow touched on how VR will be enabled in the upcoming years. ARM staked out the mobile sector, while Intel touched on the desktop. Just prior to the show, leading graphics provider Nvidia launched an entire new platform that was designed with VR in mind.
