China April mobile phone user base grows to 1.252 billion, says MIIT

There were 1.252 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China as of the end of April 2014, growing 0.28% on month and 8.38% on year. 454.20 million (36.28%) 3G users and 848.05 million (67.74%) were mobile Internet-access users, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
