Stronger competition forecast for handset display makers in 2015, says IHS

Global handset display module shipments in 2015 are expected to rise just 4% on year to reach two billion units, leading to even stronger competition among handset display makers. According to IHS, China display module makers have resolved to increase their share of global handset display shipments. In fact, in the third quarter of 2014, BOE unseated Samsung Display to become the leading global mobile phone display module supplier.
