Due to weak demand, average prices for monitor panels will decline about 1% in March 2015. Monitor panel shipments in March are expected to be higher than February, which had fewer working days. Prices for 21.5-inch and above panels are dropping further. More 5G, 6G and 8G fab capacities are being released due to slow demand for notebooks and tablets. Therefore, supply will increase over the next few months. Also, competition between 23.6- and 23.8-inch units has caused those sizes to experience price erosion, according to new statistics from DisplaySearch.
