Nearly half of light bulb shipments to residental segment to be LED by 2022, says IHS

As LED light quality improves, and as prices continue to drop, more consumers are choosing to replace incandescent, halogen and CFL bulbs in their homes with efficient and environmentally friendly LED bulbs. According to IHS, by 2022 nearly half (42%) of light bulb shipments to the residential segment will be LED replacement lamps, compared to just 4% in 2014.
