Large-area TFT LCD panel shipments expected to reach 729.5 million in 2015, says DisplaySearch

Panel makers are projecting that large-size TFT LCD shipments in 2015 are expected to grow 1% on year, reaching 729.5 million units. Market penetration for Ultra HD (4K) TVs is forecast to double to over 40 million units, 15% of total TFT LCD TV shipments. This trend will drive continued strong 2015 panel revenues and panel area on-year growth of 6% and 8%, respectively, according to findings from DisplaySearch.
