Everlight Electronics reportedly to merge with Edison Opto

LED packaging service provider Everlight Electronics, in order to quickly expand LED packaging capacity to compete with China-based fellow providers, plans to merge with Taiwan-based Edison Opto which is specialized in LED packaging for LED lighting, according to industry sources.
