3D accelerometer-gyro-comapss includes data fusion

BNO055 from Bosch is a nine axis movement sensor which includes a sensor fusion processor.

In a 5.2 x 3.8 x 1.1mm package, it includes:

Three axis 14bit accelerometer

Three axis 16bit gyroscope with a range of ±2000 degrees per second

Three axis geo-magnetic sensor

32-bit Atmel SAM D20 (ARM Cortex M0+) microcontroller running BSX3.0 FusionLib software

“BNO055 is suited for applications such as augmented reality, immersive gaming, personal health and fitness, and indoor navigation,” said German distributor Ineltek, which is promoting the part in the UK.

There is al a development board, the BNO055 Xplained Pro, available for $19 from the Atmel webstore.
