By the end of the year the world will have 48m WiFi hot-spots, says a report from iPass.
The UK, with a hot-spot for every 11 people, is third in the hot-spot density league behind the USA and France.
By 2018 there will be 340m hot-spots says iPass, that is one for every 20 people on the planet.
But while the Americans will have one hot-spot per four people in 2018, Africans will have one per 400 people.
The deployment of hot-spots in Asia is growing faster than in Europe and density in Asia will over take European hot-spot density in 2018, says iPass.
