TSMC orders equipment for NT$2.4 billion

Contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has purchased a batch of machinery and engineering equipment from cleanroom constructor United Information Systems (UIS) and NuFlare Technology, specializing in electron beam mask writing systems, for a total of about NT$2.44 billion (US$78.85 million), according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).
