Rigidtech Microelectronics to expand PSS capacity

Rigidtech Microelectronics currently has a monthly production capacity of 800,000 2-inch-equivalent PSS (patterned sapphire substrates), consisting of 320,000 2-inch PSS and 120,000 4-inch PSS, in Taiwan and will expand capacity to 1.2 million 2-inch-equivalent units by the end of 2014, the company said at a September 2 investors conference.
