China August mobile phone user base grows to 1.267 billion, says MIIT

There were 1.267 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China as of the end of August 2014, growing 0.32% on month and 5.97% on year, with 479.6 million (37.85%) of them being 3G users and 879.48 million (69.42%) using mobile Internet-access, according to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
