PCL Technologies to begin shipments of LTE-A optical transceiver modules

PCL Technologies, a Taiwan-based optical component and module maker registered in Cayman Islands with production base in China, will begin shipping optical transceiver modules for use in LTE-A (LTE-Advanced) base stations to Japan-based NTT DoCoMo and KDDI through Japan-based partner NEC in fourth-quarter 2014, according to company chairman Gene Chen.
