PanelPilotACE is a hardware and software development kit for industrial and commercial user displays and panel meters from Lascar.
Called Design Studio, the software is free to download and has building blocks for elements including background images, text elements, analogue-style meters, and digital-style meters. Users can also design there own blocks.
“It even has complex logic statements,” said Lascar, which is selling the package, “users can build up multi-screen interfaces without needing to write a single line of code.”
Finished designs can be up-loaded to the 4.3inch display hardware over USB.
The display, called SGD 43-A, is designed to be panel mounted and includes analogue and digital inputs, as well as digital outputs.
Specifically: four 16bit bipolar analogue inputs, eight digital I/O pins, two alarm outputs (10mA sink max) and four PWM outputs.
Inside is an ARM 9 processor running embedded Linux.
Power is from USB or 5-30Vdc.
