China market: Leading smartphone vendors beefing up retail, online marketing

As the three mobile telecom carriers in the China market have reduced subsidies for smartphone plans, leading China-based smartphone vendors including Huawei Device, Lenovo, ZTE and Coolpad have been enhancing marketing through retail chains and online stores to decrease reliance on telecoms, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.
