Shareholders of Asia Pacific Telecom (APT), the only CDMA 2000 operator and one of the six 4G mobile communication licensees in Taiwan, at a meeting on August 29, approved the merger of the company with Ambit Microelectronics, also a 4G licensee, through a stock swap of 0.4975 APT shares for one Ambit shares. The merger will be finalized by the end of June 2015, according to APT.
