Walton to buy HannStar LCM facility for NT$1 billion

Memory-IC packaging and testing house Walton Advanced Engineering will take over an LCD module (LCM) factory, including cleanrooms and installed equipment, from HannStar Display for NT$1.05 billion (US$34.5 million). The move is part of Walton's plans to expand its production capacity in Taiwan, according to the company.
