IBM, Cisco leading in smart city technology developments, says Navigant

Estimated to be worth more than US$27 billion annually by 2023, the smart city technology market is expected to be led by IBM and Cisco in terms of strategy and execution. The concept of the smart city covers a wide range of communities and governance models ranging from megacity regions to small towns, and from historic urban centers to greenfield developments, according to Navigant Research.
