Tesla charging
UK tech conference is to provide free re-charging points for Tesla Model S electric cars for delegates in Warrington.
The UK Device Developers’ Conference will take place at the Park Royal Hotel on June 2 and the hotel provides two charging points (R.DC 120kW) both of which are under the Tesla Supercharger scheme, enabling Model S drivers to re-charge for free.
“I suspect that not many engineers or computer scientists will arrive in a Tesla,” said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager, “However, it will no doubt be a significant discussion point at the Conference.”
The UK Device Developers’ Conference is a one-day conference for engineers and computer scientists involved in the development of embedded computer systems, real-time software and safety critical systems.
“There will be several presentations that relate to vehicle systems,” explained Richard Blackburn. “Safety critical software and reliability is a big topic for developers at the moment, so software debugging, software test and software certification all feature quite strongly on the Conference agenda.”
The Conference, which is free to engineers and technical project managers, also takes place (without free charging points) in Reading on May 12th, Cambridge on May 14th and Uphall, Scotland June 4th.
