Lattice is demonstrating USB3, human-machine interface, and MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface) using FPGAs at Embedded World in Nurnberg this week.
‘HMI-on-a-Chip’ (HOC) is an FPGA touch screen controller.
“Unlike microcontroller-based solutions, the Lattice solution is editor-based, so no programming or operating system expertise is required,” said business development manager Kambiz Khalilian. “The key benefits of the solution are scalability, high-end graphics, response times, and ease of HMI design.”
The USB3 video bridge reference design is aimed at “emerging applications in consumer, video broadcast, machine vision, and surveillance,” said Lattice.
It acts as a translator bridge between USB3 and: image sensor, SDI video and HDMI video formats.
These demonstrations will be on:
Arrow Electronics booth – Hall 5 booth 370
Future Electronics booth – Hall 4A booth 110
Using MachXO FPGAs to implement displays in embedded designs using MIPI is the subject of two papers at Embedded World, delivered by Lattice product marketing director Ted Marena. Further Embedded World conference details.
