Taiwan IP camera shipments top 2.33 million in 1H15, up 14.9% on year, says MIC

The global IP camera market is projected to grow in 2015, but two factors pushed down Taiwan IP camera makers' shipment performance in the first half of 2015. China players' aggressively moved into overseas markets and there were abundant resources for product R&D. Secondly, as the euro depreciated against the US dollar, demand for IP cameras in Europe decreased accordingly, thereby affecting Taiwan shipments to eurozone countries. As a result, Taiwan's global share dipped 6%, in spite of the fact that Taiwan's IP camera shipment volume still managed to reach around 2.33 million units in the first half of 2015, up 14.9% on year, according to MIC.
