Revenues from vehicle-to-external communications systems expected to total nearly US$180 billion from 2015-2025, says report

The increasing drive to reduce vehicle emissions and increase safety for drivers is spurring several technological developments in the transportation segment. One area benefiting from this push is the increasing development of vehicle-to-external communications (V2X) systems that allow real-time information sharing between vehicles, drivers, and pedestrians. According to a recent report from Navigant Research, total revenues for V2X systems is expected to reach nearly US$180 billion from 2015-2025.
