According to DisplaySearch, panel pricing has been down in late July into early August. Due to weak demand and lower profitability in the monitor panel market, makers are shifting monitor capacity to produce TVs. Monitor panel supply has shrunk over the last few months. It will continue to do so in the future, which may help keep panel prices flat, though currently the pressure on prices is heavy.
