LEDs displace ceramic metal halide for retail lighting

Luminus CoBLuminus aims to replace ceramic metal halide lamps with its latest range of CoB LEDs.

Called the XH series, light emitting diameters of 6, 9, 11, and 14mm are available. 9 and 11 mm LEDs care intended to replace 39W and 70W metal halide sources respectively.

The 3,000K 80CRI 6mm device generates 1,500 lm, and when combined with a 85mm diameter optic can throw an 8°beam with over 30,000Cd at its centre, claims the firm.

CCT and CRI options include 95 CRI minimum, branded AccuWhite, and ‘Sensus’ branded below-black-body LEDs.

All Luminus COB products are specified and tested at 85°C.

“Attractive retail displays where spot lights with more ‘punch’ will draw the consumers’ eyes to targeted garments and merchandise,” said Luminus product marketing director David Davito.

The XH series is at LightFair this week in New York.
