Touch multimeter has 18-bit waveform digitiser

Keithley Instruments has introduced a 7½-digit multimeter which incorporates a 1Msample/s, 18-bit digitiser for waveform capture.

The Model DMM7510 also has a capacitive touch screen, with a swipe function which makes it feel like a smartphone touch screen.

Jerry Janesch, a senior market development manager at Keithley, said: “To get an in-depth understanding of their devices under test, engineers need to capture small signals at higher accuracy and faster speeds than traditional DMMs can provide.”

DC measurements can be made with 14ppm basic 1-year DCV accuracy. There are three measurement ranges – 100mV, 1Ω, and 10µA) and auto-calibration feature.

The multimeter’s digitiser can be used for device characterisation, debugging, and analysis; production test/ATE; and applications in research labs and universities.
