G-Tech to expand 3D-forming glass capacity

G-Tech Optoelectronics (GTOC), a Taiwan-based provider of physically/chemically processed glass substrates, and Imos have jointly developed protective covers made using 3D-forming glass for curved displays. In view of large demand for such covers, GTOC will expand its monthly production capacity for 3D-forming glass from 60,000 units currently to 600,000 units in the second quarter of 2015, according to the company.
