Touch panel makers faced with increasing competition from panel makers

Japan Display and LG Display have lowered quotes for in-cell touch panels to compete for touch panel orders from China-based smartphone vendors while Taiwan and China-based TFT-LCD panels makers have also reduced quotes for on-cell touch panels for the same purpose, this has brought increased competitive pressure on independent touch panel makers, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers.
