China government tightens tax incentives, subsidies to enterprises

China's State Council has recently ordered its local governments to fully re-inspect their existing subsidy and tax-cut programs for enterprises and they will also need to receive the State Council's agreement before offering any new incentives to enterprises. Such a move has raised concern among the notebook supply chain, whose players are now keenly watching negotiations between brand vendors and the government of Chongqing, western China, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
