Taiwan market: Chunghwa Telecom to launch NFC mobile payment services

Taiwan-based Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) will launch NFC-based mobile payment services through cooperation with MasterCard, four local banks and EastCard on October 16. The service will support the HTC Butterfly 2, HTC One M8 as well as Sony Mobile Communications' Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia Z2 initially, according to CHT.
