Taiwan market: Proportion of 4G smartphone sales to rise to 50% at end of 2014, says Samsung Taiwan executive

4G LTE smartphones will take up 10% of all smartphones sold in the Taiwan market during the first half of 2014, and as Chunghwa Telecom kicked off 4G commercial operation in late May and Taiwan Mobile and Far EasTone Telecommunications will do so in June or July, the proportion is expected to rise to 50% at the end of 2014, according to Mobile Communications general manager Andy Tu for Samsung Electronics Taiwan.
