China May mobile phone user base reaches 1.256 billion, says MIIT

There were 1.256 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China at the end of May 2014, growing 0.36% on month and 7.82% on year, and 464.07 million (36.94%) were 3G users, and 857.37 million (68.24%) were mobile Internet-access users, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
