Taiwan market: CHT, TWM, FET shifting 2G users to 3G

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET), the three largest mobile telecom carriers in Taiwan, have been shifting mobile communication subscribers from 2G to 3G, aiming to reduce the numbers of 2G subscribers by 1.2 million, 500,000 and 500,000 respectively in 2014, according to the companies.
