Expansion by China makers to increase global LED chip capacity by 8% in 4Q15

As subsidies offered by local governments in China for procuring MOCVD sets will end soon, some of China-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip makers are procuring such equipment and most of the additional MOCVD sets are expected to come into operation by the end of 2015, according to industry sources in Taiwan. Consequently, global LED production capacity will increase 8% in the fourth quarter.
