Taiwan makers may benefit from Toshiba plans to quit white-light LED production

Toshiba, as part of plans to reduce in-house production of LED epitaxial wafers and chips, will stop production of white-light LED chips and increase outsourcing, which is likely to bring in more orders for Taiwan-based LED chip makers, according to industry sources.
