China market: Meizu, Alibaba launch first jointly-developed smartphone

China-based smartphone vendor Meizu Technology has unveiled a new model, the Meilan Metal, the first model it developed jointly with e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, according to China-based Beijing Morning Post.
