Foxconn to focus on small cell, RRH, Cloud RAN applications for 5G industry

Commenting on Foxconn Electronics' (Hon Hai Precision Industry) current plans for the 5G industry during the 12th Cross-Strait Information Industry and Technology Standards Forum, Foxconn vice president Lu Fang-ming said that Foxconn will mainly focus on small cell, remote radio head (RRH) module and Cloud radio access network (Cloud RAN) applications, looking to have in-house developed basic technologies and will then gradually push into patent and products, following cross-strait government policies.
