Digital camera ODM Asia Optical has developed 2G3P (2 glass lenses + 3 plastic lenses) lens module solutions for use in smartphone cameras and won adoption for flagship smartphone models by China- and South Korea-based vendors. Shipments will begin around the end of 2016, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News report citing company chairman Robert Lai.
